Happy 2017! This year marks my 10th year of blogging (a huge milestone for me!), and I’m happy to say that I still love it. I’ve learned a lot over these last few years, and I’ve gained some amazing friends through the process. Honestly, the people that have come into my life through blogging have been the best part of this job.
In all of the years since I’ve been sharing a Top 10 Recipes round up at the end of the year, I’ve never had MORE main dishes than desserts. Apparently, 2016 was the year of the new dinner recipes in my house! Here are my 10 favorite main dishes from this past year – from soups to Instant Pot recipes (my latest obsession!) to quick and easy dinners that the whole family will love.
Did you have a favorite recipe from this past year? I’d love to see what you’ve been cooking. Just leave me a comment down below with your recipe or link.
Here’s to more tasty dinners in 2017!

This next recipe was a trial. I had no idea how it would turn out before I made it. It was such a hit, I wondered why I hadn’t done it before! Can you tell we love quick-prep dinners around here?
I love lasagna and I love soup. Mash them together, and you get a fantastic family dinner!
I’ve made homemade meatballs dozens of times, but never with ground chicken. These chicken parmesan meatballs were to-die-for delicious!
Here’s another stand-by at our house. Quick and easy and SO tasty! Just add rice!
2016 was also the year of the cast iron skillet! I cook with my cast iron all the time. Here’s one of my favorite dinner recipes cooked in my cast iron:
And last, here’s another quick and easy family-friendly meal, ready in just 15 minutes! You can’t beat that!
