We’ve got our pumpkins (and one turned into a Jack-o-Lantern), we’ve made our Halloween decorations for the house, we’ve cooked our yummy pumpkin treats to eat, and we’ve bought candy galore for the trick-or-treaters.
But we are not ready for Halloween at all.
Why?
No costumes.
I am have been a complete slacker in the costume department this year. My 6 year old son will probably be ok, since our bin of dress up costumes is still his size. Most of it, at least…
Necco, my 12 year old wants to be Perry the Platypus.
Reese, age 8, wants to dress up as a boy (and I’m trying to convince her that “a boy” is not a costume…).
AJ, who is 6, has a few things to chose from, but nothing that he’s excited about.
KitKat, my sophomore, is planning on coming up with a costume with her friends, so I don’t have to worry about her.
Twizzler, age 10, has always been anti-dressing up, so I doubt he’ll be doing much more than wearing a black cape.
We need help. And a few ideas. Who knows of a costume or two we can put together with things around the house?

Just so you know, I heart Perry the Platypus!

Awwww, we made Raggedy Ann and Andy with mostly things from the house, and just a few extras, like hats and red yarn hot glued in, and a couple things from Goodwill :)
I’m sure you’ll find something easy.

We are in the same boat. I’m still hurrying to finish my sons costume. He wants to be a carwash! My sewing machine broke. My daughter took her costume out of the package and has since lost it. She might be a boy for halloween too! Hope this gets sorted out for you!

If any of the kids have overalls and a red or green shirt (red or green hat is optional), they could be Mario or Luigi.
With girls add a dress to a tiara and you have a princess.
Um…all black with a headband with some construction paper ears = a cat
Hole-y Spirit = white sheet with holes cut out.
