I went to school for video production, graduated and worked for 6 years in the television industry.

You would think someone like me would be all over video.

No video at the wedding.

No video at my child’s birth.

I am regretful.

I recently came across some video of me walking down the aisle at our wedding. Someone shot it with her camera, and sent it to me just a few weeks ago.

I cried.

No, i didn’t want an over-produced wedding video that cost me 2 grand… I just wanted someone to capture the moments I would forget. Like the way I smiled at my husband to be when I came down the aisle.

I now have a Flip, and love the portability and way I can capture just the moments. Every 3 months, I combine everything into a big video complete with music, graphics… produced home movies.

But I’ll never get those small moments back. Boy, I do regret it.

I love my powershot camera. It's so convenient. I'm not sure about the model in your post mostly because of the pop up flash but I have to admit they take some great pics for a point and shoot. I've personally never been caught on video camera (unless you count security cameras?) but I'm horribly camera shy. .-= Gilliauna´s last blog ..Earthy and Whimsical Artwork and Sculpture =-.

Do you know what I actually forgot to video last month? Singing happy birthday to my son when he turned 5!! I have every other birthday singing on VHS tape (yeah, we have an old school mini tape camcorder!) except for this one. That was a mommy fail on my part! .-= Jess´s last blog ..Behavior Bootcamp =-.

video is great – but i never remember to take it with me, pull it out or get the footage off the camera. :( i thought having video on my camera i carry with me constantly would change that – it hasn’t.
