They bought a bunch of inexpensive washcloths and used them in the kitchen as napkins. Sure, it adds an extra load of laundry, but it is an option that we use. (they are especially nice when we have pancakes or other sticky meals because we moisten them before passing them around the table)

Ziplock bags, disposable diapers, disposable wipes I choose to pay for.

We could not go without diapers…holy buckets. Soon hopefully (well for one kid).

Paper towels are actually one of the things that we regularly go without. I typically use napkins (their smaller and less expensive counterpart) in place of what I’d use a paper towel for.
