I agree and I really like the teens having a phone so we can communicate. My husband doesn’t see things the same though.

I live in a house of 3 boys. Luckily I don’t mind playing some video games every now and again. We have a great time playing games together or just watching my husband play.

I completely agree! (And not just b/c I think you are a superstar mom on all counts, but I really think it’s important that we speak the languages that our children want to speak.)

I agree with you 100%. That is the purpose of my blog…to show family how to enhance their lives using technology. And texting with my teens? It is speaking their language. I know that my teen feels more comfortable texting, so if it means she will open up more? I’m all for it. We have even created a few codes of our own. And I know that my kids are more likely to check in with me if they can send a quick text.

You said it perfectly…there is a time and a place for everything. Technology is not going away, so we either accept it and teach our kids how to use it properly or put our heads in the sand and hope they don’t mess up.

My family is filled with gamers and we love playing together. Technology is a great tool for us to bond with.
