Great ideas! I once had to fly out an hour after I bought my ticket. I slowly realized what was REALLY important and what could fall to the side. Luckily, my husband would play babystiter. :)

JUst wanna say how I appreciate all you do in order to leave your kids for a week. I have had to watch a family’s 5 kids for a week twice now and both times the mom leaves me hardly any food, no ideas of what to make, no money, her house is left a huge mess, no emergency anythings – no phone numbers, no medical release forms,… nothing! She never ckecked once during the week on us …or to let me know she and her hubby were ok. Ugh! I spent the whole time so frustrated, worried and unsure I was doing everything. You, my lady, are doing it the right way. I know it is a lot of work but you are aweseome for doing it all! =) HAVE FUN!

I thought trying to get organized for our trip to Florida for Thanksgiving was a challenge. Now I realize I have it easy!

Okay Lolli, I’m seriously tired just reading this post. Preparing for a trip like that while leaving 5 kids behind is a feat, for sure. How you’re doing it all without pulling your hair out is beyond me. Have a great time while you’re gone. We can’t wait to see the gorgeous photos when you get back. :)

Exactly. I pack for him half the time and I had to do everything but take his picture for his passport renewal, which he barely got. Whew! No, Dad gets to squeek by with hardly any thought for what we’re leaving behind. Y’know–other than work.
