‘Tis the season of pumpkins and cooler weather and baking and costumes. And now that we’ve turned the calendar over to October, it’s time for another round of blogging prompts.
Here are a few blog prompts for the month of October. What will you be writing about this month?
Happy blogging!

I’m happy to say that the summer is NOT flying by…though I wouldn’t be surprised if I felt differently at the end of the month of August. Spending the entire month of July on the road (literally) was pretty intense. Exhausting, exciting, enlightening, invigorating. We saw so much of the country, completely different from the cross country road trip that we took last summer.
And we’re already planning next summer’s road trip.
Luckily, my kids have another month of summer vacation before school starts again in the fall. And, believe it or not, all of us thought that school was starting a full week earlier than it is. We just discovered that we have another week of summer break. Not sure how ALL of us overlooked the late start date…
Since I just came back from my vacation, I’ve got an over-abundance of travel posts to write over the next few weeks…which is handy, considering I’m heading on yet another vacation (this time without kids) in less than 2 weeks. But for those of you who need a little inspiration (or maybe a little kick in the butt) here are a few writing prompts to get you started on some killer blog content for the month.
Happy blogging!

May is a very welcome month in these parts. The warm weather is finally making a solid appearance, but we don’t have the oppressive heat of the summer. Yet.
Things are winding down at school (although we’re one of those school districts that is in session til the middle of June). But I’ve been at this spot so many times (15 years of having kids in school, in fact!) that I know that this next month is going to fly by.
One of the things I love the most about the summer is the break that I typically take from my usual blogging schedule. I blog when I want and about what I want (more often, at least). It’s freeing to think of actually having TIME to delve into a few of these subject ideas.
Without further ado, here are some ideas and prompts to get you blogging more this coming month. Happy writing!
Happy writing! As always, I’d love it if you left your blog posts in the comments below if you use any one of these prompts. Also…I’d love for some prompt ideas for next month. Feel free to share!

We’re finally on Spring Break. We seem to be the last school district in the country to go on Spring Break! But thank goodness, we finally have a hint of spring-like weather. I’ll take what I can get!
Yes, I typically post my monthly blog prompts on the first Sunday of each new month, but frankly, I needed the break for Easter, and I figured no one would mind a Monday prompts posting.
Do you find that blogging becomes more difficult when the weather turns nicer? I certainly do. I long to be outside and away from my computer more. If you’d like to spend less time worrying about what to write and more time enjoying the spring weather, here is a list of new writing prompts to spark some ideas and inspiration.

Hopefully one or two of these prompts has led to some inspiration. Now go out and enjoy the spring!

It’s that time of year again – the time of the year when everyone seems to become a little LOVE obsessed (which is not a bad thing to be obsessed about!). In fact, I’ve had fun this past month making some Valentine’s Day crafts – a first for me. I had so much fun making those crafts I might just have to come up with ideas for the next few holidays that are approaching.
January flew by for me, and I’m in shock that February is already here. How has your year been going so far? Have you been able to stick with your New Year’s Resolutions, or is it already time to revisit your goals for 2015?
If you’re a blogger and one of your goals is to write more posts from the heart…or maybe one of your goals is to provide more helpful/how-to posts…then my Blog Prompts series is for you! In January, I started my second year of posting monthly writing prompts, so I’ve got a whole stash of ideas to keep you busy any time you don’t know what to write.
Here’s my latest installment of blogging prompts. Remember – if you use any of these prompts, please share your link with me in the comments or tag me on twitter or Facebook so I can come read and comment!
Happy blogging!

Happy New Year! I had such a fun time coming up with writing prompts for all of 2014 that I decided to continue posting monthly prompts for 2015, too. I am excited to do a little more just-for-me writing this year so I’ll be focusing on topics that I’d like to write about…or that I would enjoy reading from other bloggers.
One of the most common complaints I heard (from bloggers AND readers) over the last 12 months was that everyone had too much sponsored content and not enough time or energy left over to write about the things that they wanted to write about. I am planning on doing more recipe | craft | how-to posts since I enjoy doing them for myself and I *think* people tend to like reading them, too. I would love to hear your ideas for ME, though…or special requests for projects/round-ups/recipes etc that you’d like to challenge me to do.
I’m always up for a challenge!
Ready for a few ideas for January?
What are some of your blogging plans for the New Year? Do you have any plans for themed posts or collaborations? I am hoping to do more collaborative posts with other creative bloggers this year (I already have a few in the works that I can’t wait to share!).
Be sure to check out my previous Blog Prompts for even more ideas!

I can’t believe that (almost) an entire week of December has already gone by. Flown by is more like it. I am loving the holiday season this year, but since we had a late-in-the-season Thanksgiving and since I’ve been so busy with work, I am SO far behind on all of my holiday preparations.
Luckily for me, my college student daughter is heading home this week (I KNOW!) and I have plans to spend lots and lots of time shopping and baking and scheming with her (I’m just hoping that she’s down with my plan). We’ll have a week. It’s totally possible to get caught up…right?
Since it’s the first Sunday of the month, it’s time for another round of writing prompts. I must say – this was a fun list of prompts to write, and I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll have some time left over after shopping and wrapping and baking to write about a few of these.
Please feel free to share your posts in the comment section if you write about any of these topics so I can stop by and read. Have a wonderful holiday!
