I have mentioned here and there about the incredible opportunity I have been offered to speak at the upcoming Casual Blogger Conference at the end of May. Since a few people have been asking me about it, I thought I’d give everyone a little run-down on this incredible conference. You can find more information on my previous post (after I decided to say yes to the invitation to speak!).
The more I find out about the CBC, the more excited I become!! Not only are some of my favorite bloggers going to be there, but the agenda might be one of the most well-planned-out events I’ve ever seen.
Here’s what the Casual Blogger’s Conference is all about:
Have you ever struggled to find your voice? Your niche? Your mom-blogging tribe? We have.
With so many bloggers, it’s a struggle to compete. You wade through endless articles, trying to understand the technicalities of meta-tags and search engine optimization. You’re willing to invest the money, but with so many different aspects of the business, you don’t know where to start. You’re overwhelmed, and tired. When all you really wanted was to have a little fun.
We’re here to bring back the FUN!
The Casual Blogger Conference is aimed to help you discover and enhance your blogging skills.
We have put together a one of a kind conference that will teach you how to make your blog work for you! We have gathered a team of blogging experts, who will share their skills, their time, and their knowledge with you!
Each of our experts has developed certain skills in areas that will be of incredible value to you… and we’ve convinced them to hold nothing back.
Here is just a small taste of the great people and topics that will be covered at the CBC:
I will be speaking about basic photography, how to improve the quality of your pictures (surprise, surprise!). I’ll be joined by….
Courtney follows the most important rule of blogging, using your voice. Come and listen as she shares how blogging has changed her life, and affected her future.
Sarah Kimmel: SEO Expert
Those three little letters are some of the most important tools you can use. You know it isn’t enough to have a website. Sarah will teach you how to optimize your blog or website and show you how your traffic can sky-rocket!
Vanessa Brown: Moms Make Money Blogging
You have a website, you have readers. Now what? In this presentation, you will learn underground secrets that 99% of bloggers don’t know about for turning website traffic into bank account deposits.
Ryan Bell: Attorney at Law
Blogging and the FTC; you have questions, Ryan has answers. His current practice focuses primarily on cutting-edge aspects of intellectual property litigation, including cybersquatting, trademark infringement, online piracy, and violations of federal and state trade secrets statutes. Ryan will break it all down for you so you understand what steps you need to take to avoid penalties, fines, and other legal issues.
This is just a small sample of the guests that are coming to the Casual Blogger Conference. There will be SIX SEPARATE LEARNING TRACKS, covering every element of blogging, from website design, to writing workshops. In fact, if they were to put a total value on the classes that will be presented at this conference, it would easily surpass $3000 worth of education and training.
So are you ready to go yet? Even just to hear me? ;)

I might have to look into this…my grandparents live there…and I could probably save a ton of money doing it…and it sounds like this is more my type of conference.
I might have a talk with the hubs about it! Hmmm…do you have a sponsor, or are you paying your way?

It’s very close. I’ll be staying at my mom’s house in Provo which is just about as far away. I hope you can come!

Okay, how close is Sandy to Salt Lake City (where I could likely have a free place to stay?)
