The last few days have been somewhat of a blur. :) I thought I’d go back and share a few pictures from her day. I made sure that CandyMan caught at least one picture of me with my big girl.
KitKat picked out her birthday present on eBay, so it wasn’t a surprise, but she was excited none-the-less. The other kids were fascinated. A blue iPod Nano.
She also picked out a rainbow skin (which was really just a sticker) I’ve got to admit–it looks really cool!
We had our typical birthday/Christmas Eve dinner at the Salvadoran restaurant. The t-bone was especially amazing. I brought along my tiny camera. Twizzler asked why I didn’t bring my nice camera along, and after fixing red eye on 14 eyes….I’m beginning to wonder why I never take my nice camera out to restaurants. Hmmm…
Kitkat was sure to ask for her birthday flan….
And of course, the virgin strawberry daiquiri (I got one small sip from her glass)
After dinner, we rushed home for a Christmas Eve party with a bunch of our wonderful friends. I don’t think KitKat has ever had SO many people sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her.
Today, she was almost pushing me out the door so that she could have her first experience babysitting. Our’s is one of two states in the country with babysitting laws. KitKat has been counting down to her 12th birthday, so eager to be able to babysit. I was this close to running some errands (I needed to drop off the movies we rented) but CandyMan came home from work early. But since CandyMan leaves for San Fransisco early tomorrow morning, you can be sure I’ll take KitKat up on the babysitting thing. I can’t believe I have my own live-in babysitter! :)
