Flashback Friday–The Ballet Diva

Friday, March 6, 2009 by Lolli Leave a Comment

It’s time again for Flashback Friday! And guess what I discovered this week? Tara at Too Much Information does a flashback Friday carnival, too! This month’s theme from Melinda at Bloggin’ it From the Burbs is sports and recreation.

Growing up, I was into one sport–ballet. I started taking lessons when I was 3, and I continued until I was 9 and had lessons 6 days a week. I was in a travelling company of dancers. At 9, with my mom’s suggestion, I quit ballet altogether because it was just too much. It bothered me for years (that I quit), until my 3rd year of college, when I took a ballet class. It was then that I was able to bring some closure, and I didn’t wonder anymore if I “should have” stuck with ballet. I love to dance, I had some talent, but I’m glad I didn’t make it my life.

Here I am at age 7 (I think) as an angel.

One year (and one year only) I tried soccer. I was not good at it. I’ve never been good at team sports. I prefer to socialize on the side lines!

Now the question that I want YOU to answer is…..do any of my kids look like me??

PS–I tired to add both Melinda’s and Tara’s buttons, but for some reason, blogger is not letting me right now. Hmmm….Never had that problem before!
