A Common Misconception and an Announcement

Thursday, April 2, 2009 by Lolli Leave a Comment

Thank you, MamaKat, for giving me the opportunity to clear up a common misconception that many people have about me. Are you ready? Here it is: I am not calm all the time. Sometimes I yell. I am not SuperMom. My house is not always organized, and sometimes I use DVDs to get my kids off my back. People seem to think I’m calm, collected, and together all the time, and it’s just not true. I do mess up, and I do need breaks every now and then.

So starting next week, I am taking a Spring Break with my kids. We may not be going to any exotic locations, but we are going to enjoy some time together. I plan on taking the kids to Plane park to watch airplanes land at National Airport (a Spring Break tradition). We are going to play outside and enjoy the weather, and we are going to read a whole chapter book together. I’ll probably gain a bunch of weight because I plan on baking with Necco often. But then, again, I may NOT gain weight because all of the running around might offset the sweets. Don’t be a stranger while I’m gone, though. I would miss you too much. Things will be happening around here still, and I will still be checking my emails. I might just have a guest blogger or two! I’ll be announcing my daily winners (don’t forget to enter this week’s daily giveaways!), and there will be a special incentive for people who comment during the week….Details tomorrow!

Be sure to enter to win today’s new giveaway–a copy of How to Mess Up Your Child’s Life. And, no, I did not write it. I’m not THAT bad. ;)
