Last night, thanks to a post on Life with Kaishon, I found a perfect meme for me today. Over the weekend, with all of the cleaning going on, I had a chance to go in and out of the bedrooms upstairs. On one quick trip into Kitkat’s room to drop something off, I took a second to stop and read the things that she had hanging on her wall above her bed. And don’t you think that the things hanging on a teen’s walls are pretty telling of who they are and where their priorities lie?
KitKat’s choice of wall decor made me so happy, the happiness was practically spilling over. KitKat, my oldest daughter, will be 13 next month, and this (among other things) is what she has hanging over her bed:
“A day without laughter is a day lost.”
“Prayer–The key to the day. The lock of the night.”
“To be a star you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don’t worry about the darkness, for that is when stars shine brightest.”
And she does shine.
And that makes me happy.
Have you ever thought about the things that are on your walls? What do they say about your focus and priorities?
