I received an expense-paid trip to Los Angeles to learn about the upcoming release of Aladdin from the Disney vaults. All thoughts are my own. #AladdinBloggers
Aladdin originally came to theaters when I was a senior in high school. It’s crazy to think that Aladdin is being released from the Disney vault next week – and my kids are now the age that I was when I saw it for the first time. My kids have grown up with Aladdin. They know the songs by heart. They can quote several of the lines from the movie (my movie-quoting family often breaks into Genie-speak!). And now they are thrilled that Aladdin is back, on Disney DVD/Blu-ray, Digital HD, and on Disney Movies Anywhere, with exclusive, never-before-seen bonus features that Aladdin lovers, young and old, are going to fall in love with.
See a behind-the-scenes clip of directors Ron Clements and John Musker talk about Aladdin (this is exclusive content not available on the Blu-ray OR on Disney Movies Anywhere!):
Aladdin Diamond Edition Bonus Features:
Here is a peek at what you’ll find on the Aladdin Diamond Edition Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Combo Pack:

- Disney Song Selection
- And more!
When I met with Eric Goldberg, the lead animator for the Genie, he mentioned the outtake recordings and I couldn’t wait to get the disk to listen to them myself. He described the process of listening to the hours and hours of recordings that they made with Robin during the production of the movie, and how hilarious and tender that process was. Watching the outtakes was both enjoyable and heart breaking at the same time. Eric said that Robin would take a line from the script and perform it over and over again in multiple voices and as different characters. He was a brilliant man!
