And Another fun day! Apple and I met Lexi and Lis at the Splash park close to us. At first, Apple was nervous about the high fountains of water….but soon, all fear was forgotten, and he ran around having the time of his life. It was threatening rain all day, but we lucked out and had clear skies. It was cloudy and a little colder than I would have liked, but it was a blast anyway.
Apple and I have loved having the week to ourselves. I think Apple gets over-stimulated with lots of people around (like 4 brothers and sisters!)….just like I do. He is thriving with one-on-one time with his Mommy! He has been so relaxed and smiley. Of course, he loves his big sisters and brother, but he’s also loving a few hours of peace every day. I am SO looking forward to this school year, hanging out with my Apple!
Now, back to the Splash Park….
Lexi quickly got tired of tearing up her knees crawling, and so she came up with a less-painful alternative. Apple joined her in the pool crawl.
Apple’s swim shorts were a little big, and so I kept having to hike them up. Here he is doing the Urkle dance.
Lis walked away for 2 minutes to get a drink, and so Apple took the opportunity to scoot on over and sneak a kiss or two…
Lexi returned the kiss with a finger in Apple’s mouth!
Apple was into kissing today….the frog stayed a frog. No princess.
I was amazed that he was so brave. He didn’t want to leave, but he fell promptly to sleep before I had even left the area. What a day!
