What a nostalgic week! I’m currently traveling back from a quick trip to San Jose, California (writing this from the airport as I wait to board my plane).
I spent my childhood in San Jose. Although we moved from San Jose when I was 11, we lived less than an hour away and still returned to the general area for shopping (hello, Great Mall!) and playing (yay for Great America!) when I was older and until my parents finally sold their California house in 2006 and moved away.
The street signs, the banks, the restaurants, the trees, the hills that look so massively mountainous now that I live in the East Coast. I remember thinking that these hills were nothing. Now I am blown away by everything. So big. So beautiful.
I miss my California.
While I don’t have my “real” pictures yet and won’t for a little while, I thought I’d share a few of the California shots I got this week. Now I’m kind of kicking myself for being so pro-slr this week, since I have hardly nothing to show for my adventures from my phone.
I guess I’ll have to show a little bit of patience while I wait.
And, yes, those last two pictures are screen shots from my iPad. I’m tired.

How nice to return to where you grew up. I daydream about walking through the house I grew up in, and bringing my children with me :) Glad to have found you.

You’re a rambling gal! Happy to hear that you got to visit home on a business trip. I see a photo of Drew (BenSpark). Isn’t he a great guy?
