Exploring Costa Rica – GMYBS/PSF

Thursday, November 25, 2010 by Lolli 18 Comments

It’s hard to believe, I know, but I actually have more photos from my trip to Costa Rica last week. There was just so much to see, to explore, and to enjoy. The morning after my brother in law’s wedding, CandyMan and I took a walk down the beach. I’ve never been on such a long stretch of deserted beach. The kids would have gone crazy over the shell-pickings, although I’m not sure if they would have appreciated the turtle carcass as much as we did.

What have you been doing this week, and how did you celebrate Thanksgiving? Link up and share! Be sure to come back for a Black Friday Stella & Dot Trunk Show and giveaway. You won’t want to miss it!!

PS–can you identify the strange hopping tracks we found on the beach? We were surprised to find out the answer!

Wow! WOW! WOW! I have always thought you were an amazing photographer, but those shots are just stunning. If Costa Rica looks half as nice as your pictures of it, I can’t wait to visit.

The starfish photo is from Fishful Thinking. Nope. No starfish finds for me. :)

According to the people who live there, that was a very “newly dead” turtle. They thought it had probably just washed up within the last few days.

The tracks….are from a Northern Racoon. Apparently, they hop along the beach trying to catch the crabs.

Costa Rica looks like an absolutely stunning place to visit and photograph. You’ve got some gorgeous shots here, except for the dead turtle. :-P I noticed a starfish photo on your Fishful thinking post. Did you photograph that in Costa Rica as well? That photo is just lovely.

That turtle carcass is just… um, really intact. It’s obviously been there for a very long time, it’s amazing that it appears untouched.

Those tracks are puzzling… I want to guess pelican or seagull, but you said we’d be surprised, so I’m sure it’s something much more exotic than that!
