It’s time for another Fix-It Friday at I Heart Faces. I love editing pictures, and it’s always so fulfilling to see the changes (and hopefully improvements) that I can make to problem shots. Today’s shot is Angie from I Heart Faces’ daughter Weslea (such a beauty!). Problems: Weslea is underexposed, the background is severely blown out, and there is a haze over the entire shot. To give Angie credit (for being the great photographer that she is) she set out to take some “bad” pictures specifically for this purpose. Angie, you are awesome!
I started out with the photo in Lightroom 1 (where I feel most at home). Then I decided to try something I rarely do–I added a fun, colorful brush stamp (in Photoshop CS3). Maybe a little over-done, but kind of fun for a change. ;)
I liked how this picture looked with all but the flower desaturated. It added a nice old-timey feel to the picture.
This was a harder one. I tried boosting the color. The exposure was hard. Don’t know if I got it right, but I was generally pleased. ;) I also cropped this one down for a different focus.
I love seeing everyone’s different “take” on the same picture. Go check out more here:
