Halloween, Part 2

Saturday, November 1, 2008 by Lolli Leave a Comment

I spent 3 hours at the elementary school yesterday helping out with Halloween parties and the Big Parade. AJ decided to be a giraffe for the school festivities and Reese changed back into the witch. AJ the Giraffe was popular with the elementary school kids. He LOVED being able to eat the best snacks from three different class parties. He was the luckiest kid in school yesterday!

AJ joined Necco in the parade. Their section of the line got a little behind (they were distracted by the 3rd grade teachers) and so they needed to run to catch up.
When it was time to trick or treat, Reese changed her mind yet again and put on AJ’s BEE costume from last year. It was about 4 inches too short in the legs, but she put long black socks on (from Twizzler’s drawer) and was a very cute bee.

Necco was tired of everyone asking her what she was (most people guessed either a knight or Prince Caspian, and nobody guessed that she was a Musketeer) so she came up with a great idea! She found props to be a FedEx delivery person. Seeing my UPS man and FedEx woman together, I knew I had to complete the set, so I was the USPS. It was a great conversation starter while trick or treating! (Photo courtesy of Twizzler)

I took AJ, Reese, and Necco out trick or treating while Candyman stayed home to hand out treats and Twizzler and KitKat went out with friends. We walked around for an hour and a half. I could not believe that the kids had so much energy! At the very end, AJ said the best line of the night:

“Mom, we should have brought the stroller!”
He ended up on my back for a while, but he made it! The kids slept great!
