As much as mother could love a child, I love this little boy. I adore him.
I smother him with kisses every day, and he reciprocates. Often more than I might prefer. I can count on finding him asleep in my bed when I wake up in the mornings a few times a week. Yesterday, he asked me frankly why he couldn’t take “Mommy baths” anymore. I told him he was too old to take baths with me. His answer? “No, Mommy, I’m not too old. You’re too old.”
He drives me crazy with his demands, and his habit of baby talk makes me cringe. But his talents for remembering details and his successes at school make me glow with pride. I love that he still likes to snuggle with me, hold my hand, and tell me he loves me. All the time.
I will readily admit that he is a classic last child. Spoiled, pampered, and adored by everyone.
I am going to miss him this week while I’m in San Francisco with Adobe. I can’t wait to tell you all about my trip, show off pictures from my photowalk through the City, and share all of the knowledge that I gain from sitting at Lightroom guru’s feet for a weekend.
This week’s theme at I Heart Faces is…HEARTS! AJ was the perfect subject for this hearty theme. Check out the other entries on I Heart Faces!
PS – I just started a discussion in the CoffeeTalk BlogFrog community about whether or not you (and I) treat the youngest child any differently from the rest. I’d love it if you chimed in!

Oh they grow up so fast. We have 3 little boys, and we’re not quiiiite done having kids yet (maybe one or two more), but I do so love the baby phase– the snuggles, the hugs, the closeness, even the nursing. And I just KNOW that when I have my last baby, and am holding him (or her) in my arms, I’m just never going to want to let go.
He is such a little stud muffin! His eyes are gorgeous. I have 2 little blue eyed beauties myself :) I am a new follower here too, I really love your blog! Your writing is so amazing and inspiring. Hopefully one day I can be as great as you! I hope you have a great week.

Ahhh. He’s delicious.
have fun in SF. I’m jealous that you get to sit at such cool feet. :)
I love this picture. And that lollipop!
I have two older boys and a youngest daughter, who happens to be the first female born into my husband’s family in four generations. So, yeah… she gets preferential treatment. I feel like it’s my personal responsibility to keep her grounded but it’s hard ’cause she is so dang charming.
Hello,
You have the sweetest child I saw on the internet so far, he is such a sweetheart, such an angel. Hehe, he will be very handsome when he will grow up, he has gorgeous big blue eyes, such a beautiful kid… It’s lovely to see that this kind of children do really exist!
Best regards,
Maria

He is a little gem! What a sweetie. I love his big blue eyes! : ) Sweet as can be!
My youngest is a good-natured charmer who pretty much gets whatever she so sweetly asks me for! I hate that everything with her is always my last of something, but maybe it takes the last to really enjoy it! Very Sweet Photo!
Wow….those eyes. Beautiful!!!!
Your post is very sweet. He’s adorable. I have two boys and the youngest is definitely more affectionate.
Awwww… what a sweet photo! And I only have one child, so he is my first AND last and very much loved. Boys are special to a mama’s heart…
Such a great idea! LOVE the colors…and those eyes.
