Maryland Mom Bloggers on the Inner Harbor

Tuesday, September 8, 2009 by Lolli 1 Comment

Let me introduce you to some fantastic Maryland Mom Bloggers: (From left) Parenting by Dummies (@thenagainphoto), Safire from Living in Maryland, Joanne from Barely Domestic Mama (@BarelyDomestic), Lara from Chicken Nuggets of Wisdom (@dipaolamomma), MaryMac from Pajamas and Coffee (@marymac), Jennifer from Hip As I Wanna Be (@MammaMania), Jill from Scary Mommy (@scarymommy) and me.

Last Friday night, Safire (who just happens to be an every-day local friend and one of the people who inspired me to start a blog) and I drove to Baltimore to meet up with some other local bloggers. With the help of the GPS, we made it to the restaurant without ordeal (and even more amazing….we made it home without getting lost in Baltimore! Safire and I have a history of getting really turned around when leaving that city).

Lara, who spent 4 years in Spain, knew exactly what to order. We just sat back, drank lots of water, and chatted. I’ve never had tapas before, so I was surprised when small plates (about 20 of them) were served. We passed them around, trying a little of everything.

We had a great time. The night was gorgeous–perfect for eating outside on the Harbor. No kids, no husbands, just the girls.

Meeting a certain doll named Mona was the highlight of mine and Jill’s night. We have put a lot of work into getting Mona’s September travel itinerary together…all before we had even met. In a few weeks you can see some of the other places that Mona has been visiting!

And at the end…..goody bags! What could be better?

Here’s a shout out to all the cool companies who sent goodies for our Swag Bags! First of all a big THANKS to Dunkin Donuts (@dunkindonuts) for hooking us up with gift cards, travel mugs and t-shirts (I’m wearing mine right now)! We also got some great stuff from Shaklee by Clean Mama (@AboutShaklee)…amazing cleaning solution, Piggy Paint (@PiggyPaint) and WAT-AAH! (@WAT AAH)…my kids fought over both of these! Great swag also came our way from Frederick, Maryland – thanks to: Candlelight Ghost Tours of Frederick, Dancing Bear Toys & Gifts (@dbeartoys), Maryland Ensemble Theatre FUNCompany (@mdensemble), Author Kristin Kish Whyte – “One More Minute” book and Maryland Life Magazine (@marylandlife)
