Taking the time to reconnect with family and friends is important, and I love that the new movie NINE LIVES drives that lesson home in a fun and humorous way. This post is sponsored by EuropaCorp, but all thoughts are my own.
I work a lot. It is one of the challenges of working for myself. My home is my office, and there is ALWAYS something to do.
But my kids are also a big part of my home and my life, and they demand quite a bit of my attention as well. Especially when it comes to driving them everywhere. Oh, the hours we spend together in the car!
I do worry that I’m not connecting with my family as much as I should, especially as my kids get older and we ALL have busier lives (don’t all parents wonder that, though?). At the end of last year, I WISHED that I could have more time to just BE. To simply enjoy my home and my family without the worry of work and carpools and cooking dinner.
Our week in Florida over the holidays was exactly what I needed. What we needed. Sunshine and no wifi (only partially torturous!) made for lots of relaxing together.
After the holidays, we headed back home and went back to school and work and EVERYTHING was just as busy and hectic as it had been before the holidays.
And then the SNOW STORM hit. 7 full days of being snowed in. The kids haven’t been to school in over a week. If being snowed in doesn’t make you slow down, then not much will. I have loved the time we’ve had together (six of us in our tiny house). It has forced me to take another look at work and home and family and remember my desire to reconnect with my kids and husband.
On behalf of EuropaCorp, I’m excited to share the teaser trailer for the upcoming film, NINE LIVES! Starring Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Garner, Malina Weissman, Cheryl Hines, Christopher Walken and Robbie Amell.
