Now that we’re back to our normal schedule of school, work, and all that fun stuff, I am happy to report that I did not sleep in past 8:00 every morning for the last 2 weeks. I totally stayed on my schedule of waking up at 6:20. I am not one of those lazy vacation people. Not at all!
I’ve been feeling so refreshed and energized because of all of that sleeping in hard work I’ve been doing during the break that I wasn’t shocked when, this morning, KitKat specifically asked me if I was tired. “Not in particular,” I said (although I was thinking “I’d definitely prefer to be back in bed right now…”).
“Well, your eye looks really red and puffy,” KitKat explained.
Ahem. I do NOT have stye on my eye that is causing both pain and swelling. And since I don’t really have a stye, I didn’t look up causes and treatments on the internet and find that styes are most often caused by (and I quote) “stress, poor nutrition, sleep deprivation, or rubbing of the eyes.” Hello, people! I’m MORE rested this week! I’m less stressed! How can I not be less stressed after a full week in Florida?
I don’t suppose there could have been any stress or sleep deprivation from our through-the-night 16 hour drive back from Florida. Or the stress-inducing two days of unpacking and putting my house back together after being gone for 8 days.
Oh.
One more thing…..I didn’t just send out a stack of Christmas cards today, with another stack of stamped cards ready to be addressed. That’s so tacky to send out Christmas cards over a week after the holiday! They were early Valentines cards, I swear. With this picture in them:
Yeah, and I didn’t order 200 cards at my husband’s insistence with no desire to do anything with them. I would never secretly desire that someone else take over the Christmas card responsibility. It’s a great use of time!
PS–Take a good look at the picture…we’re not really on a train. Yes, I was crazy enough to cut and paste us all into a miniature scene.
Now that I’ve revealed a few of the things I didn’t do last week, let me say in all seriousness that I did get the first Bloggography post ready for tomorrow. Check back in the morning!

Ouch, styes can be so painful!
Funny, I didn't sleep in during vacation either! All my days are pretty much the same!
The picture is great. I didn't get my cards out either. Thinking about doing a NY card… or at this point, maybe it will be Valentine's Day!

Ugh. I used to get styes as a kid, but the two I've gotten recently
have been monsters. No fun indeed.

I used to get styes all the time. They are no fun. I remember having to put the ointment in my eye a couple times a day.
And I love the photo card! Don't feel too bad, I just sent out our cards a couple days ago.

I was way too frustrated with commentluv, which works great on other people's blogs but not on mine. I missed being able to reply.
As for the feed, I am so sad that it's still not working for you! I don't know what to say. The move has definitely not been without hassles.
