Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Except, of course, that I would never think that….
And on Saturday night, I did not go to bed practically crying (I think I would have felt a lot better if I had gotten in a good cry). I was not completely frustrated by my inability to print off a stupid paper–ONE SHEET!–for the class I was substituting for in church the next day.
I did not whine at all to my husband who was working on his computer across the room. And when he suggested that I might just need to uninstall the printer software and re-install it on my computer, I did not moan.
I am usually so quick on the computer, so my inability to find the right software online had nothing to do with the fact that I was so sleep deprived. Or with the fact that I had had a royally stinky 4th of July. WHY did I let my kids vote on where we would go to see the fireworks?!
I didn’t finally give up on the printer and fall asleep with a shirt over my head, not even saying good night to CandyMan, who was working on his laptop on the other side of the bed. And I certainly didn’t whine one last time about the rotten printer and how frustrated I was with it.
The next morning, bright and early…..that printer wasn’t the first thing on my mind. No way! And I didn’t sit down at the computer and try to figure it out before grabbing breakfast or a shower. That would be silly! I also didn’t install the software twice because the program kept not recognizing my model. What’s going on here?!
And, after almost an hour, I most certainly did not glance under my computer screen and see the other end of the printer cord laying on the desk.
You know, the one that should have been plugged into my computer?
The one that my husband had unplugged?
No, my printer problems had nothing to do with the fact that the printer wasn’t connected to my computer. Of course that was the first thing I checked!
Ugh.
I am obviously not getting enough sleep these days!
