Punk Toddler – Give Me Your Best Shot

Many of this week’s favorite shots were taken during my recent trip to New York City. Especially the gorgeous Goldfish centerpieces. Love them!

Since I’ve been home, I’ve been as busy as usual, but I did take some time out today to hang out at the Parent Resource Center with my friend Safire and her kids (as well as another friend of ours. Fun surprise!) Safire’s nearly- 2-year-old twin boys got to paint for the first time today. What an adventure! This twin decided that the paper was green enough and spread a little to his hair. What a cute punk!

I am uber thrilled to be heading to Baltimore tomorrow for Bloggy Boot Camp where I will get to meet SO MANY bloggers that I have been dying to meet. I can’t wait for tomorrow!

Sadly, I found out today that a long time friend of mine from the Resource Center has been diagnosed with cancer. Cancer stinks.

  10. What a great photo! Love the hair. I am new to photography and have always wanted to learn to blur out the background like you did. I am getting there but slowly. You are great inspiration though.

  16. I love the picture of the little guy. He’s just so cute and totally unaware of his fashion statement.

    Cancer is scary. But don’t be afraid to talk about it with your friend. It can be like the big pink elephant in the corner and she’ll miss out on all the support you could offer. I’m making it a point today to pray for her and her family, and the doctors as well.

  21. That picture is AWESOME! Kids…..

    Cancer sucks — no doubt about it. My wife was diagnosed a little over a year ago. It was the darkest day of my life. The word cancer is so scary, but there are a lot of quantum leaps being made in the treatment of cancer. I hope everything is okay.

    Good friends make a big difference too, by the way :)

  23. No kidding! I would love to have a whole day to stay in bed (I have been so tired and so busy this week!) but the fun continues! And it doesn’t slow down this month, either.

  24. Actually Safire (his mom) specifically asked me to grab some pictures of the boys painting for the first time. Granted, she didn’t know that one of them would get green paint all over his hair… Haha!
