Updated: This giveaway is closed. The winner is commenter #14, Safire. Congrats!!
Who doesn’t enjoy getting warm and cozy, curling up on the couch, and reading a book or watching a movie on a cold Winter evening? I know I love it. And so do my kids. We’re a cuddly family, and our couch is almost always covered with blankets.
This is Reese in our Cozy.
Back in the beginning of December, I posted 5 tips to get kids to bed (and stay there), after seeing a prompt and challenge on TwitterMoms. The challenge was sponsored by DramaU.net, and this month I was sent two St. Eve Kids Cozys for my participation. How does that effect you, you ask? Because one of the Cozys is for me to give away! What is a Cozy? It’s a snuggly one-size fits all (kids) blanket that has sleeves so your child can relax in comfort. By the way, even though the Cozy’s made for kids, I like to sneak some time with it every once in a while. So my arms are a little long….it’s still super comfy.

We start about 30 minutes before bed with putting on the pajamas, brushing teeth, etc. Then she get in bed and we read. She is usually asleep before the story is finished – even though she protested that she was not the least bit tired.

The easiest way for me to get my younger children to sleep is to let them listen to their choice of music as they go to sleep.
My daughter prefers country and my son prefers opera. As long as I don’t turn the music off they will sleep through the night.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.

Being consitant is important in a child’s life, having routines help them feel secure. Create a bedtime ritual, such as; bath, brush teeth, kiss mom and dad goodnight, read a story to them, tuck them in, and have a catch phrase that makes them feel special…maybe “love you more than chocolate”…well, something that is only for them.
Thank you. :-)

We look out the window and say goodnight. Goodnight moon, stars, dogs, owls, neighbors, god and everyone else. We do this after we read a story.
we have those glow in the dark stars that you stick on the ceiling. It seems to help my daughter;)
Thanks

Taking their baths before bedtime relaxes them and lulls them 2 sleep
Routine routine routine. Plus I ignore them after going up twice unless it’s bloody murder screaming. And if they (by that I mean SHE) gets up out of bed then she looses her movies for the next day. Sure fire way to keep her in bed!

We read to my son and then turn on some quiet music. We turn on his Twilight Turtle which lights stars up on his ceiling. He has no problem falling asleep.
We have a pretty strict routine so I don’t run into to many problems. I also play Classical music in the youngest ones room.

We do a marble jar for a good/bad behavior. We use the marbles a lot at night time. If they get out of bed or are messing around (at least on school nights) they loose marbles. If they stay in bed and go so sleep quickly we reward them with a marble. It seems to work pretty well.
