My family and I were invited to a screening of the LEGO Batman Movie this past weekend. All thoughts and opinions about the movie are my own. What we loved about The LEGO Batman Movie
From the opening screen (all good movies start with black!), the entire audience was laughing. I don’t think we stopped laughing until the credits started to roll at the end. My family and I had big expectations for The LEGO Batman Movie after how much we adored The LEGO Movie in 2014, and honestly I was scared going in to a movie with such high expectations. I am usually let down when I go in expecting greatness. Luckily, The LEGO Batman Movie lived up to its expectations and we loved it just as much as the previous LEGO movie! (Just to clarify – these two movies are completely unique from each other. Totally different stories and characters, but some of the same style elements and fun surprises).
I think everyone’s favorite part about The LEGO Batman Movie was the appearance of so many classic characters. With LEGO, literally ANYONE can show up in the movie! I won’t spoil WHO makes an appearance, but I promise that you’re going to love seeing some of your favorite characters from other movies show up in this one!
The humor was on par! While many parents may look at most animated movies as “kid movies,” I can safely say that the adults in the theater laughed just as much or even more than the kids did. This is truly a movie that is great for the entire family. Humor, action, and life lessons all mixed in to a thoroughly entertaining 104 minutes!
My other favorite thing about The LEGO Batman movie was all of the quotable quotes (the trailer has one of my favorites!). I wish that I had brought a notebook to the movie to write down all of the great quotes, but I’m sure they’ll make their way around the internet as soon as the movie is out in theaters.
