AJ and I have a new special date on Friday afternoons. Reese’s teacher said she could use our help filling students’ folders while the kids are at lunch and recess. So we’ve been hanging out in Reese’s classroom. AJ loves having the room (and the chalk and the books and the blocks….) all to himself! And I love being able to volunteer WITH AJ.
Today, he went right to the chalkboard and declared, “Look, Mom, I made an A!” Indeed, he had written an A, albeit upside down. I was happy that he even knew what an A looked like. :)
He was very good to clean up the board after he was done drawing. Meanwhile, I was busy filling Reese’s classmates’ folders with all of those exciting things that need to come home to Mom and Dad.
“Can we come again soon? School is fun!”
