Angie‘s stirring things up for WordFul Wednesday. She has added some prompts for those who’d like a little extra challenge. Or a theme. Or whatever you care to call it. This week the prompt was:
Fall. What does it look like in your neck of the woods?
Despite the drastic change in weather, it’s still a little too early to be enjoying the LOOK of Fall here in DC. It feels like Fall is in full swing, with the cool temps, low humidity, and all around mild weather.
To show you what Fall looks like around here, I scrounged up a few pictures from LAST Fall.
Fall is orange and red and yellow and brown.
Fall in the East is completely and utterly different from my childhood Falls in California.
In the Fall, everything is covered in leaves. Including my carpet.
Sometimes it can be a lot of work to keep the leaves in order.
Luckily, I have plenty of helpers.
They know that leaves can also be quite a bit of fun.
Fall is pumpkins. Lots of ooey, gooey pumpkins. We make pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin pudding cake. My mouth is watering.
Fall is also about lots and lots of candy. There’s nothing better than having five kids who all go trick or treating. Mommy gets all the candy she could ever want!
What is Fall like in your neck of the woods?
PS–my friend, Kim (my BlogHer partner for next year!), just started a brand new reviews and giveaway blog, Prairie Mama Reviews. Go enter some of her giveaways going on right now! Personally, I am crossing my fingers for the Harry Connick Jr CD. :)
