Like women all over the world, I have committed to make 2011 a healthier one for myself. My goal for week 1 was to add aerobic exercise into my routine. Week 2’s focus has been increasing my water intake. I’m going for small and simple steps that will lead to a healthier me by the end of the year.

I’m not a milk drinker so I always try to add calcium through other methods, such as cheese and products with added calcium. I also take special calcium tablets formulated for leg cramps.

I get my calcium with yogurt (almost every day), a multivitamin with calcium in it (every day), cheese (small amount, most days) and milk (when I have it and remember to drink it!).

I could drink milk all day, but I try to limit it to one glass a day due to calories. We eat ‘Dates’ daily, it has lots of calcium and iron. They help in promoting hair growth as well. In addition, milk everyday in the morning.

Yogurt is one of my favorite ways to get calcium. I don’t really like milk, and I am trying to lose weight, so I don’t eat a whole lot of cheese, but yogurt is a perfect way for me to get calcium!

I have yogurt for calcium!!
Awesomeness. I adore Yoplait and I try to incorporate it into my daily diet by eating it straight or using it in cooking. I believe in eating a lot of calcium rich foods such as milk, yogurt, cheese, and vitamin D enriched orange juice. I also eat a lot of broccoli so my bones will better absorb the calcium.
