You Call This Fixing It?

I noticed that you stopped by my court today. I am thrilled that work is being done to fix the surface of the road in front of my house. Things have been a little bumpy as of late. I can’t wait to see you again tomorrow, because obviously you aren’t done with the work. Right? I mean, no one would dump a little pile of black gook on the road and call it fixed, right?

Oh, that’s what you’ve done the last few times, isn’t it? Ah, yes, I see that slightly lighter spot next to today’s darker drop. Dump the gravel, move on. Come back next year, dump some more.

Let me let you in on something. It’s not working. It will never work.
