Random thoughts, in no particular order, inspired by Mama Kat’s Writing prompt :
1. The biggest thing on my mind right now is Cub Scouts. Twizzler went to his first Cub Scout Den Meeting last night with the brand new Den Leader…..ME! Yes, I was asked to be the Den Leader. I have zero experience with Cub Scouts and honestly, it was really worrying me. Until last night. I had a blast, and left with such a great feeling. I need all the help I can get. You better believe I’ll be doing a lot of research and looking around for good ideas (if you’ve got any, send them my way!). But this is going to be so much fun!
Last night, Twizzler said to me, “Mom, I think it’s pretty cool that you’re going to be my Cub Scout Leader……But it would have been even cooler if it was still (the old leader).” Nice. :)
2. I need to read out loud to my kids more often. I used to read to them a lot, and now that the majority of my kids are old enough to read on their own, they don’t act like they “need” that from me anymore. But they do. I want to read Inkheart aloud with them (the book that the movie we saw last week is based on).
3. Finances. It’s always on my mind. It’s rough to have a start-up company.
4. How did my house get so messy? I swear I have been cleaning. I can’t seem to get a hold on it.
5. I am dying to get to the used book store. I need to see if I can find any of my upcoming book club books. I really prefer reading books I own rather than library books.
6. Where’s the chocolate?
7. I just finished a baby photo shoot…..so I’m wondering a) how the pictures turned out (they’re loading onto my computer right now), b) how long it will take me to edit them, and c) how I can get more photo sessions. I love the experience of taking baby pictures. I love the practice I get, and let’s face it, I love getting a little extra cash. :) Here are 2 quick photos that stood out to me in the 1st batch.

8. I am pondering my next Foto Friday post. I have a post mostly written up, but the gathering of and/or taking of relevant pictures to go along with it is sometimes overwhelming.
9. I am totally excited that a friend of mine won tickets to a movie premier next week and invited me. Woohoo! It’s not just any movie premier, but one with a pre-movie party with gift bags and a guest list and all. I feel like a movie star. :) Unfortunately, both of my babysitters are going to be out of the house that night (CandyMan and KitKat) and so I’ll have to hire a babysitter. Bummer. But I’m not going to miss it!
10. Ooh!! I can’t wait to go out today (Scout store, here I come!) so that I can use my new purse, compliments of my mom. I just transferred everything over to the new purse last night, and it is perfect. What is it about purses that makes me so happy?
