Ten years ago today we moved into our house. Who would have guessed that we’d still be here. When we bought our house (our first–a very exciting thing!) Kiwi was not even a year and a half old. We were so young! I remember for months and months after moving in, I would wake up every morning and the most incredible wave of gratitude would hit me. I couldn’t believe how blessed we were to live in such an awesome house. It was ours! We had so much space! I loved it.
Ten years later, I have to remind myself how much I loved and appreciated this house when we first moved in. It has taken a beating in ten years (although I must say, lots has been improved, including finishing the basement and adding another bathroom). But OH! the memories within these walls! Four of my five kids have been born here. This is the only home they know. Actually, as much as the kids would love a little bit more bedroom space, they have warned us that they never want to leave this home. I figure that they’ll probably get over it if we ever do move to a bigger house…
And, now for the pictures. Shots of my house would be incredibly boring, so here are a few pictures of my kids–our annual Spring pictures. The big girls were very “efficient” (“Ok–I smiled. Are we done now?”), Taco was very cooperative, but not his most photogenic, and the 2 little kids were characters, to say the least. I love ’em!
I know this next picture is off focus, but I love the classic look in Apple’s face. He was running towards the camera….I don’t remember what he was upset about.
