Only photographers go on outings for the sole purpose of taking pictures. And only bloggers go on outings for the sole purpose of taking pictures for blog posts.
I’m doomed.
After spending the week either sitting at my computer or running errands at the store, I needed to find some inspiration.
I found it this morning at 6:50, as I was driving my oldest daughter, KitKat, and her friends to the high school. We passed the lake – part of our normal drive – that was covered in a light mist. If I could have stopped right then, I would have. I had to be satisfied with returning to the lake after the kids were all in school.
Thank goodness for this much-needed break and the reminder that there is so much beauty around me. So much to appreciate and enjoy.
…even if I did get a few strange looks from my fellow path-walkers as I stood in the middle of bee-covered bushes to catch a few close-ups with my non-macro lens. Sigh.

Oh the first couple lines- that pretty much sums it up for me!!! I’m totally laughing. Since I have been doing more recipes & working on my food photos the latest joke in the house before anyone eats anything is “has this been photographed yet?” Yep- sometimes I make things just for the blog- they get the benefits of that later.

What gorgeous photos! I love the butterfly and bee ones.
One of my favorite things about photography is how it makes us really see the beauty that is all around us. When I take a minute to stop and capture a moment, I enjoy it all the more!
