It’s my birthday. :) I thought about loading a baby picture of myself. I took a picture of the paper chains that the kids hung to decorate the family room. I also took a picture of the disastrous mess that the kitchen was in after Noodle made breakfast in bed for me (pancakes that spelled Happy B-day). But I am just too tired. All I’ve wanted today was a nap.
Instead, I volunteered in Taco’s class and helped at the book fair. Then I zipped over to Peanut Butter’s office and we went out to lunch at Macaroni Grill. I had the chicken and artichoke ravioli, which–by the way–was stupendous! Then I killed some time at the grocery store, buying ingredients for Friday night’s ward Fall party. I picked Apple up just in time to make it back home before the kids came home from school. Now, Kiwi is making me a cake, Noodle is quizzing everyone about what she should make for dinner (I voted for spaghetti, but she said, “You can’t have spaghetti on your BIRTHDAY, Mom!”) And the other kids are just making a mess, I think.
I had to come on here today to say, though, that I have never felt so loved. I can’t believe how many people have wished me a happy birthday. I don’t think I’ve had so many happy birthday wishes since I walked down the halls in high school wearing an “It’s my Birthday, Kiss me” pin. Thank you to everyone!! Your messages and e-mails have made my day!! I have the greatest friends!!
Love you guys!
PS–can you believe it? No pictures!
