No school today! Let’s enjoy the Fall!

Friday, October 17, 2008 by Lolli Leave a Comment

The kids and I went out to Mountainside with a bunch of school groups to enjoy lots of Fall activities. Reese was the only one to take advantage of the face painting….

We walked down this path a lot on our way to the popcorn and apple cider. Yum! Everything was particularly beautiful today!

We took a long and bumpy hay ride thru the corn fields and over to the pumpkins.

And then we hunted for pumpkins. Apple tested several out for the perfect handle (that’s the important part, right?) and after he finally found one and left the pumpkin patch, he dropped it and popped the handle right off.
Reese likes them bumpy!
Noodle just doesn’t want her picture taken too often.
Same with Taco–he kept trying to avoid me!
He couldn’t run away when I caught this picture of him climbing this cool blow-up slide.

They had fun jumping in the moon bounce…..
Here was are getting lost in the corn maze (I’ve never been in one so tricky! The kids were so excited when they saw the exit…..except that it was the entrance! Well, at least we found our way out!)
After the corn maze (and about 2 hours of other stuff) I was ready to go home. My left foot has been giving me problems since last February, but this last week it has been at its worst. I was dying having to walk around so much! The kids, however, were ready to explore the fields.

Reese is popular everywhere she goes. A wagon-full of kids were waving to her here.
Apple found lots of wild flowers.
Reese found a bale of hay to jump off. Whee!
All in all, a great day, despite the foot.
