This post brought to you by Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.
I admit it. I’m not the holiday entertaining type. It’s Candyman who typically makes the push for inviting people over for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Despite the fact that we have a family of seven already, he swears that holidays just aren’t the same without a big group to share them with.
Two things are crucial for me to feel like the holiday celebrations at my house are a success. First, the house must smell amazing. I am a huge proponent of scented candles, scentsy jars, or simmering pots of spices to bring the holiday mood. The second “must” is good food. There’s no substitute for good, home made food, and the hours in the kitchen are always worth the effort for me.
Sadly, decorating is not one of my strengths. Often, when invited to a friend’s holiday get-together, I look around longingly at their decorations and wish I had the funds to outfit my house like theirs. I can dream, though, right? Maybe I can hope for the Pier 1 Fairy to show up at my house and decorate for me. If that were to happen, I’d want the Pier 1 Fairy to use items from the Gilded Forest theme. Listen to this description:
If a moonbeam and a cheetah had a baby, this would be it. It’s natural meets sparkle. Animal prints, earthy textures, and glitter finishes make this look extra fierce.
Not only is this holiday decor gorgeous, but the earthy tones are more “me” than the bright reds and greens of traditional Christmas bling.
The Pier 1 Fairy would also need to leave plenty of scented candles and diffusers to make my house smell spectacular even when I wasn’t cooking my famous apple pie. Pumpkin, cinnamon, and apple are always favorites. Apparently, I’d need the Pier 1 Fairy to stick around for a few holiday entertaining tips and lessons. I love that the Pier 1 has holiday survival tips scattered through the categories.
Luckily, I don’t need the Pier 1 Fairy to help me support Toys for Tots. That’s simple. Pier 1 is an official drop off location for Toys for Tots. They have three easy ways to help out less fortunate kids in your neighborhood:
- Drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any Pier 1 locations in the US between now and December 1st.
- Make a donation at the register through December 24th.
- “Like” Pier 1 Imports on Facebook during the month of November, and Pier 1 will donate $1 per fan to Toys for Tots (up to 100,000).
