This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.
My love affair with Carmex started when I was a teenager and heard that applying Carmex to a cold sore would speed healing. Menthol and phenol, two of the ingredients in Carmex, both have antiseptic qualities, helping to speed healing by killing germs. Unfortunately, I needed help with cold sores just about every time I came down with the common cold. Since I already had it on hand, I used Carmex for just about any dry skin issue that I had. I started keeping a jar of Carmex on my all the time when I was in college in Utah (talk about dry!) and I would often use it on my feet and knuckles at night before I went to bed. I had no idea that I wasn’t alone in doing this….
Carmex is made for lips, of course, but customers tell us it’s also great for:
- Using as an antiseptic for minor cuts, burns and insect bites
- Relieving the itch of athlete’s foot
- Drying out pimples for faster healing
- Softening cuticles
- Smoothing elbows and knees
I was thrilled when I found out that Carmex has recently come out with a new line of lotions specifically made for dry hands, elbows, and feet! Now I don’t have to feel funny about using my lip balm on my feet.
The new Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream has been more than I could have hoped for. It is smooth and soft going on and my skin feels great for hours after I’ve applied it. My favorite part, though, is the scent. Similar to the classic Carmex lip scent, the healing lotion and cream have a clean, soft, sweet scent that lingers on my hands over night and for several hours during the day. I love it.
Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream is available at Walgreens and drugstore.com. Want to try it for yourself? You can request a sample from Carmex. Like Carmex on Facebook for chances to win Carmex products weekly!
Disclosure: I was sent samples of the new Carmex lotions to try out, but the opinions and views on them are my own.
