AJ turned 7 years old today! I can’t believe my baby is 7!
As is our tradition, he woke up early this morning and opened his presents before the majority of the family left for school.
On the eve of his birthday, AJ watched Iron Man for the first time. It was perfect timing, because his aunt and uncle had sent him two Avengers action figures. He couldn’t be more thrilled with his new Iron Man and Captain America action figures, and he’s already scheming about building a shelf in his room for his new (and hopefully expanding) Avengers collection.
His present from me was a butterfly garden and a jar full of caterpillars and caterpillar food. Yes, that’s what he wanted this year. So far, Iron Man is more exciting than the caterpillars…
Now I’m thinking of convincing him to change his birthday party theme to the Avengers instead of monkeys. Have any great Avengers party ideas?

My 8 year old son is going to a kids house tonight for a birthday party sleepover. I think a sleepover with a few friends and having a marathon watching the available DVDs such as all the Iron Man, Hulk and more would be an idea.
I think he really likes them. I have Avenger dolls that are about 20 yrs old here. Would u believe they still look in pretty good shape too They were my oldest sons
Those are such great ideas!! Thanks for sharing. :)
Oh my gosh, yes!! I’m actually sad that one of those teeth is coming in. He is SO CUTE with both of them missing. And he’s my baby, so no more toothless smiles after this. :(
Yes, he’s pretty thrilled. I have a feeling he’ll be carrying them everywhere. We’re watching Captain America tonight after birthday cake. :)
That’s so cute! I was (And am) a big comic book geek, and I remember one Christmas where my grandma gave me a bunch of Batman action figures. I was so excited, so I can imagine how thrilled he is!
happy birthday, little avenger! i love when kids lose both top teeth at once!!
We might have an Avenger’s party, too! I’ll have to convince my then 6-year-old to abandon his “vampire party” idea. But here are some games off the top of my head: Captain America Frisbee toss. Have the kids build huge block towers, then Hulk SMASH! them. For a pinata, they can use a stick made to look like Thor’s hammer.
Have fun!!
Yay! Happy Birthday, he’s adorable! I think an Avengers party sounds like fun :)
Oh my goodness, such a cutie! Happy Birthday to your little dude.
