I hardly made it home before the kids started this new school year, and after just two days back to school, it hardly feels real. Heck, I barely unpacked from all of my trips today….
Despite my absence this past month, the kids were ready (both physically and emotionally) to go back to school. And so far, so good.
Yes, I do realize that I don’t have a first day of school photo of my oldest, who is a JUNIOR in high school this year. Oh, heavens! So old! We talked about getting a picture, but neither of us felt excited about photos so early in the morning…

I hear you on the high school thing. My son just finished 8th grade. The idea that I only have about 4 more short years with him is mind boggling.
