There are so many incredible movies coming out this month I hardly know what to do. One of the movies that I can’t wait to see is a new Twentieth Century Fox film about a young girl in Germany during World War II. If you haven’t seen THE BOOK THIEF trailer yet, you must check it out now:

I love reading. My love of books is what drove me to start writing for pleasure when I was a little girl, which is what drove me eventually to start a blog. Books mean so much to me. I love seeing Liesel’s courage in the face of so much horror. THE BOOK THIEF is the story of how much books feed the soul.

Liesel (Sophie Nélisse) meets her new foster parents, Hans (Geoffrey Rush) and Rosa (Emily Watson).

About THE BOOK THIEF

Based on the beloved bestselling book by Markus Zusak, THE BOOK THIEF tells the inspirational story of a spirited and courageous young girl who transforms the lives of everyone around her when she is sent to live with a new family in World War II Germany.

Starring Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson, and Sophie Nélisse and directed by Brian Percival. THE BOOK THIEF, rated PG-13 (for “some violence and intense depiction of thematic material”) is coming to select theaters November 8, 2013 and wide November 15.

THE BOOK THIEF is already winning awards! Just this week at the Heartland Film Festival, Director Brian Percival won the Truly Moving Picture award, Sophie Nélisse won the Pioneering Spirit: Rising Star award, and Geoffrey Rush won the Pioneering Spirit award.

Download the Discussion Guide to use with your kids after you’ve seen the movie. There will be so much to talk about together!
