World Premiere of Disney Pixar’s Brave at the Dolby Theater #BraveCarsLandEvent

To call this past week a whirlwind is an understatement. I had so many incredible experiences associated with the opening of both the movie Brave and the new Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure, but probably the experience that stands out most in my mind was the World Premiere and Green Carpet event at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood (formerly the Kodak Theater).

See if you can find the bloggers on the green carpet!

Walking the red carpet (they made the carpet green in honor of Scotland for Brave) is always an exciting experience, but Disney and Pixar really went all out for this one. Not only was our walk accompanied by bagpipe music, but I spotted more celebrities walking along near us than at any other premiere event. Apparently, several video cameras caught us walking the green carpet as well.

After the movie, when we headed up to the after party, we were greeted again by a group playing the bagpipes. Pixar and Disney did a stellar job of creating a captivating Scottish-themed atmosphere for the night.

There were tables covered with Scottish foods, activities, and games (it looked like lots of kids were enjoying the bows and arrows as well as the bracelet making station). The bloggers seemed to flock to the food and the photo stations.

I loved watching the bagpipers perform again, followed by some Scottish dancers.

I decided not to try the Haggis….I had heard a few scary things (including the fact that it tasted horrible) and so I stuck with a more normal selection of Scottish foods to test.

Of course, the highlight of my night was chatting with Kevin McKidd, but the dessert tasting right after our photo was a close second.

Note: I did not receive any compensation for this post. I was sent to Los Angeles to cover the premiere of Disney Pixar’s Brave and my travel expenses and experiences were provided for me.
