Celebrating Teens – I Heart Faces

Sunday, June 20, 2010 by Lolli 15 Comments

You can only be young once. But you can always be immature.  ~Dave Barry

Mothers of teenagers know why animals eat their young.  ~Unknown

The young always have the same problem – how to rebel and conform at the same time. They have now solved this by defying their parents and copying one another. ~Quentin Crisp

Little children, headache; big children, heartache. ~Italian Proverb

Adolescence is perhaps nature’s way of preparing parents to welcome the empty nest. ~Karen Savage and Patricia Adams, The Good Stepmother

The best substitute for experience is being sixteen. ~Raymond Duncan

I Was Framed

There is nothing wrong with today’s teenager that twenty years won’t cure. ~Author Unknown

You can tell a child is growing up when he stops asking where he came from and starts refusing to tell where he is going. ~Author Unknown

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years. ~Mark Twain, “Old Times on the Mississippi” Atlantic Monthly, 1874

PS–I am going to continue to remind everyone to please vote for Reese in the Ronzoni Pasta photo contest. You can vote once per day during the voting period (6/14-6/25) and anyone who votes is entered to win a $25 gift card. The first time you visit the site to vote, you will have to “register” your info, but for any subsequent vote you will just have to enter your email. It took me less than a minute. If you’re not sure which one is Reese, check out her animated photo on the announcement post. Thanks!!

“Animals of teenagers KNOW why animals EAT their YOUNG!” LOL!!

When I married my husband, I had 3 young children, oldest was 8.

He had 6 children… half grown… Still at home were 12, 15, and 18. THAT was a WHOLE NEW GAME!! On mother’s day, the 20 yr old gave me a plaque with this quote on it. Haha!

Hubby constantly assures me that teenagers USUALLY grow up to be HUMANS! So FAR that has proved TRUE! YAY!! ;D
