If you were following my twitter stream on Tuesday night, you might have seen me posting some messages like this:
Eating an amazing meal at the Melting Pot with bloggy friends. Doesn’t get much better than this. #fonduedc
The tummy is very happy. And we haven’t hit the chocolate yet. #fonduedc
Getting ready for the chocolate course. Oh boy! #fonduedc
If you’ve never been to The Melting Pot, let me just tell you that it is the perfect place for a Girls Night Out. Fondue meals are very active and interactive. Plus, cheese, chocolate, and girlfriends are the perfect combination, don’t you think?
Lara of chicken nuggets of wisdom and her BLiNg! (PS–gotta check out her new blog!)
The brilliant and beautiful Jessica of a Parent in Silver Spring (and me)
The talented and gracious Justice Fergie of MamaLaw (by now an old friend), me, and Amy of Teach Mama (we finally met after hours of phone chats!)
The chocolate course was seriously amazing!
Can you say yummy?
Now it’s your turn. What did you do this week? For those of you who haven’t played along before, Give Me Your Best Shot is not a contest, and it’s for any level of photographer. It’s simply a fun way to show off the favorite picture (or favorites) that you’ve taken this week. Read to find out more about Give Me Your Best Shot….And come back to leave the link to your best shot below (please link to your actual Give Me Your Best Shot post). And Grab my button(s) here and link to me so that we can get more people to stop by!
PS–happily linked to Cecily’s PhotoStory Friday, too!
PPS–I have been a horrible hostess the last few weeks as I’ve tried to make my way through the hectic month of May. So please bear with me while I get ready for next week’s conference, and I promise I’ll be back to commenting and responding at my regular pace once I get into June!

Love the Melting Pot. Had a fun meal years ago for my birthday. Great place for a date night or girls’ night out. My children — at least my oldest — are getting close to the age where they would love this type of restaurant.
Of course, the time I went prekids I was seated near a family with toddlers. Can you imagine a more inappropriate restaurant for toddlers?? Boiling oil, skewers, hot plates. I was on edge the entire meal as the toddler at the next table lunged across the table near to the hot plate or ran around the restaurant as the waiters carried pans of boiling oil!
Looked like a fun night. Although hard to see/read about a D.C. blogging event that I never knew about. Ouch!

Cub scouts was fine, but completely insane. All of the boys were in a bouncing-off-the-walls type of mood. But we got through it!

Fondue says
Well, base on experience fondue dinners always mean ‘good times’ whether it’s with families or friends. My family love fondue, I always prepare fondue dinner at least once a week. If I’m too busy, my husband and I would tag along our 8-year old twin boys to somewhere fancy just to ease out our fondue cravings, lol!
