Fix-It Fun

Thursday, May 20, 2010 by Lolli 6 Comments

I needed a break from the routine, so I decided to play with this week’s fix-it picture on I Heart Faces. Here’s the original:

For this first edit, I used the B&W Red Filter (high contrast) preset, added color noise reduction, luminance smoothing, boosted the clarity, added some highlight recovery, and then cropped.

For the second edit, I used a Preset called The Slats from Kelsey Smith, and then adjusted the color a bit more. I also reduced noise, exposure, fill light, and saturation a bit and tried a different crop.

I like the close crop in the second one, but overall edit-wise, I still love the BW more. :)
