I sleep with 3 pillows: a shaped memory foam pillow for my head and neck, a well-loved body pillow that I got for Mother’s Day 1999, and a squishy pillow for my back. If CandyMan happens to fall asleep before me and takes one of my pillows, I WILL wake him up to steal it back. He regularly complains that I have all the “good pillows” despite the fact that I have bought him his own memory foam, squishy, and body pillows. He has a pretty good case of pillow-envy.

So when I received a TEMPUR-Cloud Pillow from Tempur-Pedic after meeting them at BlogHer this summer, I decided to be a good wife and let him have it. Call it good-will. Call it being an amazing wife. Call it not wanting to listen to any more whining about being a “good-pillow hog.”

This new pillow is amazing. CandyMan loves it. He probably doesn’t love the fact that I asked him how the new pillow was every morning for a week so I could write a review. If only I had thought ahead and given it to him for Christmas, THEN I would be totally set for Christmas, too. Just don’t tell him that I steal it every once in a while while I’m reading in bed.

  1. I was diagnosed with lung cancer and am undergoing chemo at the present time. My husband bought me a tempurpedic bed which I love but now I need the cloud pillows. I usually use 2 pillows and I am a side sleeper. I have a hard time sleeping now but the new bed helps. These pillows are so expensive. I am looking for a deal on them if possible. I have searched the web for a decent price but so far nothing.

  46. I usually use two pillows, but one of them I really only use because I paid too much money for it and it really sucks. I just want to use it so I didn’t completely waste my money.

  81. Currently I sleep with 4 and they are NOT doing the job! The feather ones have lost all loft, the memory foam/feather is too hard, the foam one is lumpy…I need a good pillow! And so does my husband :)

  99. I like to sleep with 2 medium pillows, and my “squishy” old down pillow. I have asthma, and must sleep with my head elevated, so this works for me!

  105. I only sleep with one pillow but my husband has three. I sometimes wake up with one of his pillows nearly covering my head. They take up more space than the dogs! I’d love to win this for him. That is if I could give it to him. I might want to keep it for myself!

  125. I only sleep with 1, but hubby uses 3 and we end up flopping and flipping all night so that there’s usually only 1 pillow on the bed by morning time and a sea of pillows on the floor.

  128. The more, the better! Right now I am sleeping with about 5 pillows…but at all times I must have at least two. I’ve got a favorite that goes under my head, and at least one more between my legs…any extras are situated perfectly around my body in other spots. I’m sure if I won this, it would quickly become my favorite pillow!

  177. I sleep with one enormous Comfort U pillow. Used to sleep with 4-6 memory foam pillows though. Just got Tempurpedic slippers – they’re the best! Thanks for a great review and very generous giveaway!

  178. It depends. I have to frequently try new pillows because none are comfy for long. Right now it is two pillows under my head. Thin ones of different types but they are still flattening out and no longer comfortable. Time to pillow hunt again.

  236. I currently sleep with two pillows (technically one REALLY long body pillow, and another pillow for my head). I’m quite particular about my pillow situation. I take ‘sweet dreams’ very seriously :) When I leave for vacation, you will ALWAYS find me bringing my pillow. I don’t mess around. Would love to try this one out!

  250. I usually sleep with two now, but I used to sleep with three until I discovered the wonder of memory foam. I’d love to win this for my boyfriend because he sleeps with three tiny pillows and I think this would be perfect for him.

  275. I used to always sleep with two pillows, but after getting whiplash I was told that that’s bad for you and that you should only sleep with one. So now I sleep with one and I’m trying to get used to it! :)

  291. I’m STILL trying to find the right mix of pillows for my side sleeping. Currently, I’ve got a contour pillow, but it’s a bit low, so I’ve got a fairly flat regular pillow under it. But, I also tried a new, firm pillow not too long ago, and it’s right next to the other two… some times I switch. I’d love to see if THIS one would be my final pillow!

  302. Three. I read to the two grandchildren in my bed and they each need a pillow. At night I use 2 at the head and 1 under a bad knee.

  306. I sleep with 4:
    1 is for extra height when I need it (it usually slides between the mattress and headboard once I fall asleep)
    1 is the actual pillow I put my head on
    1 is the pillow I hold or lay on when side sleeping
    1 is at my feet-for extra heaviness or warmth…or height when I am reading or sick.

    I can’t sleep without all 4…it’s hard when I sleep somewhere else!

I have never realized how many different and creative ways people sleep with pillows, now I know why they give us so many pillows when we go to a hotel… I have ONE pillow, it is a memory foam “knock-off” and while I LOVED it in the beginning it has not lasted the way I have heard the memory foam pillows do. Would love to win!!!

  313. I just sleep with one but recently had to toss it when my daughter came home from school with lice. Ewww! My pillow did not make it through the laundering process so I am now sleeping with one of the ones from our decorative shams which is far too fluffy for this tummy sleeper.

  319. I use 3 pillows: one tempur-pedic, seems like a dinosaur now that these new styles exist; and two pretty flat-ish pillows for side-sleeping.

  321. I sleep with between one and five pillows, depending on what feels comfortable that night. I usually sleep on my back, so I will have one pillow under my knees (which takes pressure off the lower back). Sometimes I’ll want to be flat, so have just one soft pillow under my head. Sometimes I’ll want my head and shoulders elevated and will use two or three pillows. When using two or more, I’ll also use a travel neck pillow. Would love to try a TEMPUR-Cloud Pillow.

    i go through a pillow a month – albeit the cheap target pillows – and then they get too flat for me to find comfortable. i feel strange throwing away 12 pillows/yr, and am in the market for a good one!!!

  343. I sleep with half a pillow (yes- I couldn’t find a flat one so I cut a memory foam pillow in half… and one in between my knees!

  364. I sleep with 2 pillows, but am always looking for the BEST pillow. My husband says I destroy them since I am always folding them or squishing them into the perfect shape for myself. LOL

  369. Becca – doesn’t your husband complain when his pillow smells like feet? Yummy!

    I sleep with two, one under my head and a dog-bone shaped one I keep under my arm. Heaven help him if I can’t find my dog bone, I will tear the bed up to find it. It keeps my back from twisting so far by providing some support to my arm when I am sleeping on my side. Then after DH gets up, I will usually swipe his too and snuggle up to go back to sleep. And I have a special fleece lined soft as a cloud down blanket that I keep on my side of the bed. Good thing too because he has a patented tuck & roll manuever to yank all the covers over to his side – he’s awesome like that!
