Date Night

Wednesday, April 7, 2010 by Lolli 7 Comments

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.

Later this month, CandyMan and I will celebrate our 15th anniversary. That’s a long time to be together. Being together for over 15 years and having 5 children together has been wonderful and often….but not always….exciting. Sometimes, I admit, it feels like we’re stuck in a rut. Time alone when we’re not exhausted and over-worked, much less an official date night is hard to come by.

Sounds like we’re not so different than the couple in the newDate Night Movie, coming to theaters on April 9th, 2010 (yes, that’s this coming Friday!).

An article in the New York Times describes “Date Night” (PG-13):  a bored suburban couple played by Steve Carell and Tina Fey go on their weekly dinner date and find themselves thrown into a night of intrigue: there’s breaking and entering, a car chase, a shootout and a showdown with an underworld boss at a strip club. Husband and wife come out of the adventure with some scratches and also with their ardor renewed.

I love Steve Carell because he is funny in a totally believable kind of way. Take a look at the trailer:

Now, their date night looks a little TOO exciting for my taste. But watching their crazy date night after eating a meal that I haven’t cooked might be the perfect escape for me and my CandyMan. We’ll just make sure not to take someone else’s reservations.

What is your perfect date night?

The movie looks funny. I am celebrating my 20th this month! The longer we’re married the date night becomes more important. For Valentines Day shared Panda Express in the back of the SUV at a drive-in movie. It was awesome. And my hubby was so happy to get to “second base”.

This movie looks SO funny. I might just have to run out and see it with the hubby this weekend.

My perfect date night is actually pretty boring. At home (the kiddo is at the g-parents), with homemade pizza, a bottle of wine and a good movie.
