Discover Canada: My Travel Bucket List #StayCanada

Many thanks to Radisson Hotels for sponsoring this post and the accompanying giveaway. All thoughts are my own. Please be sure to scroll down to find out how you can win a free night’s stay at any Radisson hotel.

I love road trips and relaxing family vacations. I love exploring new places and getting to know cultures and communities (it never fails – I always fall in love with the people in the places I visit!). I love trying new foods and discovering hidden gems. And I adore learning about the history of each town and region that I pass through. It’s so interesting to discover how communities were established and what made those communities the way they are today.

I’ve only been to Canada a couple of times…and most of those visits were far too long ago. It’s about time that I checked off a few places from my Canada bucket list.

canadian-travel-bucket-list-4

Canada Bucket List Location #1: Toronto My dad worked in Toronto for several years when my kids were little, and I’ve always regretted not making the trip up to visit Toronto while he was there. Since Toronto is within driving distance of Maryland (we love long family road trips!) we could still easily make the trip there as a family vacation. While in Toronto, I’d love to visit art museums and galleries, get to know the city on a walking tour, and perhaps take a day trip from our hotel to see the Canadian side of Niagra Falls (since I’ve only seen the US side of the falls).

Canada Bucket List Location #2: Edmonton I would love to start my Edmonton visit by spending the day at Fort Edmonton Park, which I hear is like going back in time. I’d also stop by William Hawrelak Park and have dinner at a local dinner theater.

Canada Bucket List Location #3: Saskatoon Saskatoon is the largest city in Saskatchewan. I would love to take advantage of the abundance of river side parks, visit a river side fine art market, or take a dinner cruise down the river. Or maybe I would just stick around the hotel and enjoy this pool and slide!

Luckily, there is a Radisson hotel in each of these destinations, so I know I’d have a comfortable, inviting place to stay.

Where in Canada would you like to travel? Have you been to any Canadian travel destinations that you have loved that you would recommend that I add to my travel bucket list?

So disappointed this contest has ended. I found the post in Tailwind actually and was like Hey that sounds interesting. Anyways I am Canadian born and raised and there are still so many places in Canada that I would LOVE to visit. For instance Tofino, BC is supposed to be amazing!! And I have been trying to get out EAST for years so Newfoundland or New Brunswick or PEI or Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’m not fussy – it is a massive country and I could travel for months across Canada and still have more to see.
