I’ll be CHILLING in L.A. for the Disney FROZEN Red-Carpet Premiere #DisneyFrozenEvent

Disney is sending me on an expense-paid trip to Los Angeles for the Disney Frozen Event so that I can report back to all of my readers about the movie and behind-the-scenes details. No other compensation is being exchanged and all opinions are my own.

I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining 24 fellow bloggers in Los Angeles November 18-20 for the red carpet premiere of Disney’s FROZEN.

I knew LA was a fun place to visit but this event is going to be beyond COOL! Not only do we get to walk down the red carpet with movie stars, but we get to view Disney Frozen on the big screen early (I can’t wait to tell you all about it!), chat with a few of the stars of Frozen in person (more details on that later!), screen SAVING MR. BANKS (which opens in theaters limited on 12/13 and wide on 12/20) and get a behind the scenes look at the history of MARY POPPINS (available on Blu-ray combo pack 12/10)!

And I get to hang out at Disney Animation Studios again…

While I decide what I’m going to wear and prepare to CHILL OUT with my blogging friends, I’d love for you to think of some questions you’d like me to ask the stars of the movie. Be sure to follow the hashtag #DisneyFrozenEvent for pictures and updates!

About Disney’s Frozen:

In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) in a race to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Frozen stars the voice talents of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana, Alan Tudyk and Ciarán Hinds and is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee with original songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

I think I *may* be most excited about a whole new soundtrack of Disney songs!

About Saving Mr. Banks

Two-time Academy Award®–winner Emma Thompson and fellow double Oscar®-winner Tom Hanks topline Disney’s “Saving Mr. Banks,” inspired by the extraordinary, untold backstory of how Disney’s classic “Mary Poppins” made it to the screen.

When Walt Disney’s daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers’ “Mary Poppins,” he made them a promise—one that he didn’t realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved
magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stop selling and money grows short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go to Los Angeles to hear Disney’s plans for the adaptation.

For those two short weeks in 1961, Walt Disney pulls out all the stops. Armed with imaginative storyboards and chirpy songs from the talented Sherman brothers, Walt launches an all-out onslaught on P.L. Travers, but the prickly author doesn’t budge. He soon begins to watch helplessly as Travers becomes increasingly immovable and
the rights begin to move further away from his grasp.

It is only when he reaches into his own childhood that Walt discovers the truth about the ghosts that haunt her, and together they set Mary Poppins free to ultimately make one of the most endearing films in cinematic history.

Mary PoppinsInspired by true events, “Saving Mr. Banks” is the extraordinary, untold story of how Disney’s classic “Mary Poppins” made it to the screen—and the testy relationship that the legendary Walt Disney had with author P.L. Travers that almost derailed it.

Disney’s classic movie, Mary Poppins, is one of my favorite stories – full of incredible music and a touching story. I can wait to see how it came to be, both in Saving Mr. Banks and in our special behind-the-scenes look into the making of the movie. I can’t wait to watch Mary Poppins again with my kids as the Blu-ray combo pack is released December 10.
