Five Fabulous Bloggers

Monday, May 23, 2011 by Lolli 11 Comments

Thanks to Trop50 for sponsoring my writing about fabulous bloggers. This year Trop50 is granting 50 Fabulous Wishes. Click here to enter for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous!

I remember the thrill last year when I was told that I made someone else’s Fab5 Bloggers list. Out of thousands of bloggers, you picked me? So when I was given the chance to make my own list of 5 fabulous bloggers who inspire me, I jumped at the chance.

And then I realized I had to PICK 5 bloggers that I love. How was I supposed to narrow it down to only five? This was a tough one.

My List of Fab5 Bloggers

(And, yes, these happen to be ladies that I have met in person, but I didn’t catch a picture of myself with Janice and Susan when we ran into each other at BlogHer. I think I had just finished the 5K and didn’t have my camera on me. Or else they didn’t want to be too close to me…)

Angie at Seven Clown Circus – as a fellow mother of 5 kids, Angie and I found a quick connection when we met online early in my blogging life. I love Angie’s straight-forward, up-beat writing. And I love that we are now working together as Community Leaders in the Savvy Living Community. And I really, really love that we are both moms of five kids. That brings the bonding to a whole other level. She’s the kind of person I wish lived next door to me.

Tara at Feels Like Home – Tara amazes me. I heard her speak (last minute, mind you!) on SEO at Bloggy Bootcamp in Baltimore and she actually helped me understand it. She is an incredible teacher, an engaging writer, and a wonderful friend. At a later Bloggy Bootcamp (this time in Philadelphia) Tara and I were able to be roomies and we had a blast gabbing in the room after the festivities had died down. Tara continues to be a great blogging resource and friend.

Janice and Susan at 5 Minutes for Mom – I have been reading 5 Minutes for Mom for years now and have loved their site for everything from fun stories to great resources and tutorials, not to mention the traffic that I get when I link up to their Wordless Wednesday meme, their weekly giveaway carnivals, and their yearly UBP (Ultimate Blog Party). This past month, I have loved getting to know Janice and Susan even better as I have joined the 5 Minutes for Mom writing and editing team. The more I get to know them, the more I am in awe of these two incredible sisters and the blog that they have built.

Jill at Scary Mommy – I met Jill before her blog became one of the biggest, most-read mom blogs in the blogosphere. I am honored to call her my friend (I’m sure the emails back and forth to Jill number in the thousands). Jill has an amazing talent for writing engaging, “I know just how you feel” kind of posts. Every mom can relate with Scary Mommy. And that’s what makes her so brilliant.

Dumb Mom at Parenting by Dummies (yes, I know her real name) – Dumb Mom is so NOT dumb. She’s a beautiful mom, talented photographer, and one of the few bloggers that makes me laugh (or at least smile) every single day. Speaking of smiles, I owe KitKat’s free Invisalign braces to Dumb Mom, since she let me know about the writing contest Invisalign Teen was running during Blogalicious last year…which I ended up winning.

Who would you add to your list of Fab 5 Bloggers?

Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

Hearing from fellow bloggers is always great, and it always inspires us to do plenty of new things that keep others interested in ourselves. Good that you pointed out your personal favourites!

What?! Me?! Fabulous?! AWE-SOME! It’s my life goal, you know! And to be in a list with such great ladies! Did you make a mistake or??? Well, in the words of a fellow fabulous woman who taught me about taking a compliment the right way, thank you! Thank you for including me. For saying nice things about me. And for recognizing my awesome:)! And, I would like the world to know that I no longer own that shirt thanks to the hideous trashing it took in a certain 360 mirror by a couple of really stylish people!
