Last Friday, my baby turned 14. I can remember with vivid clarity my first pregnancy….the fears, the excitement, the anticipation, the questions. There were plenty of each. I don’t know if the fears and questions ever go away. As soon as the questions are answered and the fears put to rest, they are replaced by new ones. On the other hand, the excitements and joys of becoming a new mom are renewed as kids get older and learn and accomplish new things.
KitKat has been the source of so much Mommy pride, especially in the last year. I really couldn’t have a better oldest daughter.
I’ll even forgive her for making me feel old.
I mean…fourteen?! I’m old enough to have a 14 year old daughter?

Photostory Friday/ My Chaos, My Bliss news
As many of you heard, Cecily’s blog, email, and Facebook accounts were hacked the week before Christmas. Someone thought it would be amusing to delete all of the posts on her blog. Imagine losing years of posts and pictures, stories and memories! It is a tragedy.
Cecily posted a Photostory Friday post last week on a blank blog….only to have the account hacked again, erasing the sole post as well as her entire Facebook account.
This week, I have had many people ask where Cecily has gone, or if anything was wrong. Rest assured that Cecily is just fine….and she IS planning on resurrecting her blog. But figuring out this whole hacking mess and getting something new set up is going to take time. So keep coming here for updates. I’d even encourage you to leave a comment here for her. I know she’d appreciate it!

I’m so sorry for Cecily. She must be devestated. I subscribed to her blog with my google reader and I can still read her past posts. Has someone tried emailing them to her from their reader?
And I’ve found that my grown children and I have become very good friends over the years. I enjoy them much more now that they are responsible for themselves.
OMGOSH! I am just now seeing this! (I hate being so wrapped up in my mess that I never know what’s going on with anyone else) How awful for Cecily! I can’t imagine!

I have been on vacation and my heart nearly stopped when I attempted to stop by her blog yesterday! I could not believe that her blog was GONE. I think that it is horrible that anyone would hack into her account and delete her stuff. What kind of terrible person would do such a thing!
